Mancuso spent the majority of his career in the minor leagues, playing for teams in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the ECHL. He also played in Europe for a few seasons.

Mancuso retired from playing in 1995, but he remained involved in hockey. He became a scout for the Sabres, and he was later named the general manager of the Charlotte Checkers in 2003.
